For school group bookings, for every 25 children one adult/teacher is allowed free entrance to the Park, the boat ride (if booked) and the ‘hands on’ (if booked) any additional adults/teachers pay the above prices. We are offering the special ‘hands on’ programme for groups which will be in addition to the normal show offered (snakes and seal demonstration) at an additional cost as stated above. The programme takes approx ¾ of an hour and will consist of various small animals such as hedgehogs, monkeys/baboons, lion cubs or whatever young animals are available at the time of the visit. The programme will take place in a private area and is ideally suited to groups of approx 60 to 70 children. This private zoo is positioned near the dam wall and has a steady stream of visitors who come to watch entertaining snake handling and seal shows in the Park’s large arena. These shows take place at weekends and on Public Holidays as well as for pre-booked schools and other groups. Many of the animals living here are ‘movie stars’ which have appeared in a variety of local as well as overseas films and television advertisements. The animals are well cared for and housed in landscaped surroundings conforming to all international specifications. This Park plays an important educational role – thousands of school children, including many underprivileged city and rural kids, have had their first close contact here with a creature from the wild. A visit to this Park also serves as a starting point for a relaxing and scenic 20 minute ferry boat cruise on the dam, and there are a number of other attractions in the area such as the snake junction shopping centre, across the road. Cameleon Village across the dam wall and the aquarium. One day we hope some one will have enough money to fix the cable car. it is such a possitive attraction to this area and green belt... only needs some serious TLC (tender loving care) A challenge for big business ??
